Description:
This course at the Meeman Center is a 4 week in-depth discussion of my new book Paper Bullets that tells the dramatic true story of two remarkable women who resisted the German army during WWII in the most surprising way. They used their talents as artists to fool the Nazis into believing that a conspiracy was afoot by creating sarcastic poems, demoralizing dialogues, scandalous jokes, and bawdy songs -- these were their “paper bullets.” Each week in the course, I’ll dive deeper into some of the issues in the book, and we’ll spend time discussing together as a group. Think of this class as a book club led by the author himself!
